New legislation relating to SC 485 Skilled Graduate visas has been released.
As per this temporary arrangements, applicants in the graduate work stream will NOT be required to nominate an occupation from the Skilled list and provide a skills assessment.
This means that international students who meet the Australian study requirement - study for at least 2 years in Diploma, Degree or trade certificate courses - will be eligible to apply regardless of field of study.
These new requirements will apply to applications lodged between 01 July 2022 and 30 June 2023, however there is a provision to extend this date if Minister will consider it appropriate.
